Welcome to Hearthland!
The Reiz Company has been in Wichita since 1900. The original store was located on N. Main Street in downtown Wichita, as a home furnishings store called Reiz and Strunk. As the story goes, they used to load up a horse ‘n’ buggy on weekends and travel to Toronto, Kansas selling their merchandise.

From there, Reiz Company evolved into an appliance/hardware/heating store, and the company was called “The Stove Center of the Southwest”. The heating stoves they sold back then included wood, oil, and coal.

Reiz Company was family owned for three generations. By this time they were well into the central heating and air-conditioning business.

The current owner, Dan Davis, purchased the business in 2001. Dan had worked for the Reiz Company in the 1970’s and purchasing this company was ideal for him. The Reiz’s wanted to be sure to sell their family business to an individual who could carry on the Reiz tradition of serving the heating needs of the people of Wichita. And Dan is doing just that!

Today, Reiz Company is still going strong in the heating and air-conditioning business. We now have a new name for the retail area, Hearthland, where we sell Pellet, Corn, and Wood stoves and inserts. This is the beginning of a new time for Reiz Company!!
